View Full Version : Canadian Winter Herping
I can't wait until the winter so that I can hunt for the Great Canadian Snow Snake....found in snow drifts....I usually go with a snow shovel, snowmachine and lots of beer.....It is hard to see because it is white but leaves a yellow trail wherever it's been....

I found a green frog yesterday. Of course, that was because the excavator dug it up from within the pond! Nice to see that things are already using it though, and it went right back in...
And don't forget, eastern garters have been recorded above ground (naturally!) in every month of the year in Guelph, ON!

Sciensational Sssnakes!!
Interesting eh, Jeff....I found a "road construction displaced" Garter snake in late Nov last year and kept her until the spring...Hard to get worms in the winter...lol...anyways she didn't go into Hibernation and ate all she could...I hope I helped her out ....and she is not wondering when I am going to pick her up this year...lol...I guess it was compairative to going south to florida for the winter..lol
