Ok, I purchased a pair of 2003 het albino BP's and they weren't eating for me for a couple weeks. I offered them food tonight, live fuzzy mice, and they took it, but they didn't even bother constricting. It was live going down. Is that bad?

I feel really dumb asking it, but all my experiences before this led me to believe that dead or alive they will constrict. (Unless they are so used to f/t, which one of my older males is, he doesn't bother constricting.) But they aren't.

Any advice would be nice.

The reason they didn't constrict it is because they were so small. It would be like us chewing orange juice. Why bother? Its already in swallowable format.

Ball Pythons are BORN big enough to eat adult mice. I suggest you feed your Ball Pythons something a little bigger.

Thanks Jeff. That is exactly what I figured (size). The only reason I fed them such a small meal (which they got three fuzzies each) was because I tried rat pups, rat pinks, and hopper mice. They didn't even look at those.

In a few days I'll try the mentioned above. This is the first time I have come across BP's that didn't eat ANY thing I throw at them. But stuff happens.

Thanks alot!
