Okay, here's my situation...

I have purchased an IJ carpet pyhon off Mardy. He has kindly offered to deliver to the show on the 23rd in Toronto. THe problem is, I have tickets to see the Toronto Raptors basketball game at 1pm. The ticks are expensive so I really need to go. I live in Hamilton, which is an hour away from the game, and 40 min. away from the show. The game is 3 hours long. Can anyone think of ANYTHING I can possibly do? Only thing I can think of is go to the show early, be quick picking it up, and drive back, drop off the snake, and back to the game. Any other possibilities i'm overlooking?

cheers, and I hope something can be worked out!

just take the snake with you to the game.
bring or buy a heat pack at the show ....

I Dont remember if they search ur bags at the games....but just keep it in your jacket and bring a back pack, snake in snake bag, heat pack in back pack, combine the two, snake stays warm...., etc...etc...

Snakes can stay cool somewhat for a short period without any concern.

These days they search everyhting coming and going to the Air Canada Center. I am sure would have no problem but there is always the chance of making a scene. I woudl think the best thing to do is make arrangements to pick it up after the expo. We are at teh legion until 6pm anyways. I am sure someone coudl hold it for you until then. Otherwise VG is right a heat pak woudl be fine. Good luck

Heat paks work on different scales and time frames. The most widely used type is a 24 hour heat pak that reached maximum heat output within thirty minutes, usually.

They get hot all by themselves just by opening the wrapper. Its a chemical reaction triggered by exposure to oxygen.
These things are designed for keeping tropical fish warm during long flights. Similar ones are also sold as hand and foot warmers in sporting goods stores. The maximum temp is a function of the design and is limited by the chemistry of the contents

Get it shipped via Air Canada the following weekend.

I say find someone to hold it for you. There are always people hanging out later. If that isn't a possibility, is there anyone that could pick up the snake for you?

I don't thtink that bringing it to the game would be a very good idea, if someone found it you would be in trouble. I'm with Linds on this one....ask someone to hold it for ya.

Leave it in the trunk of the car with a heat pak.
