i have a ten gallon turned vertical w/ 2 screen sides for a single crested. i'll have a shallow water dish. feed it sugarless babyfood. 1 teaspoon a day. leave a dish of mealies, mist 2x a day. no heat lamp for now with temps at around 75 or so. either repti carpet if i can figure out how to clean it or paper towels. fake plants.

can someone tell me if cresties poop right on the sides or if they do it on the floor? also is there a way to know a crestie has been eating right (like the fatness of a leo's tail will give u a good idea) but cresties dont have tails like that.. thanks!

They poop anywhere and everywhere..lol Forget mealies, there too fatty, use crix. To check to see of a crestie is eating right is check in the mornigng if any crix are left also with babyfood put it in a circle pattern so that you can tell if any licks were taken. The baby food would look like a half moon. Hopes this helps. Oh yea make sure to supplement calcium/D3 with other vitamins.

my babies kept getting stuck to the repti carpet. when they would jump for a cricket, their teeth/mouth would sometimes get caught on it, so i removed it. i got this stuff at Walmart, it is a shelf liner like the bubbly stuff, only this is a solid piece of rubber-like stuff. it works great, it cleans easily, and they do not get stuck anymore.

the fake plant i wanna get comes in a container that has all these plastic fibers that crix could easily hide in.. can cresties sense the presence of prey and hunt it out or do they just wait for the prey to come

You can try the bowl feeding method. This is when you place crickets in a bowl and have a branch go over it so the crestie can see its prey. You might need to pinch their legs off. Cresties hunt be vision so you want to try to minimize all the places where crix can hide.
