yeah, i noticed... its kinda funny. somone is going to be beating themselves up after they pay, and they don't own the unmentionable one.
as much dislike to that other *ahem* website there is it's actually a good deal from a business standpoint if you know what ur gonna do w/ the site.. but yeah it's still amazing how much domains can go for.

Neo did you notice that there is a S at the end of the domain name? It is'nt the real site. :)

The auction is for the domain name its not for the site.. It says it right in the description its for the domain name for someone who has or wants to build a site using the name www.kingsnakes.com he is not trying to sell it to someone who thinks its kkingsnake.com he is just selling the domain.

may be a good idea...that person gets all the hits from people trying to get to the unmentionable one that make an error. though, that's a hefty price!
cheers,
MIKE
If someone is dumb enough to think that they're getting the entire set-up KS site, then go ahead, I hope they "win".

Sheesh guys, it's just a domain name. Maybe a Breeder is bidding on it, personally I would love a domain name like that. Then whenever someone miss typed the evil forum one, they reach my site instead. Think of it, if reptile hobbyists were looking at random sites, what better way to get more hits. It's like if someone wanted the domain name snakess.com or something.

hehe someone already does own ssnakes.com and snakess.com.
anyone know why there is so much anomosity between this site and kingsnake? I figured they must have done something any idea what?
it would also show up in searches on yahoo et all as well.
heh snakess.com is taken (i accidently typed that once and ended up at a different site)
what i really hate are domain campers that put on their generic crappy search page and say the domain is for sale. If you don't plan on using the domain you shouldn't have it.

there isn't really animosity between ssnakess and the other one. if my memory is correct, the other site stopped people from writing ssnakess in their posts. So, jeff in turn did the same here. only makes sense. I think that's as far as the animosity goes, but i could be wrong.
cheers,
mike

Your dead on...no animosity.
$10 bucks is $10 bucks for either one
