Try looking at www.rodentpro.com thats where I get mine. They're pretty cheap to especially if you pick up your package at a greyhound station. Of course these are frozen.

Rodentpro does not ship to Canada. We have an agreement with them. We won't ship to the US and they won't ship to Canada.

try your local feed stores to get a line on rabbit food buyers, usually they are pretty nice about it

We are very close to having our mice and rats once again available. All of our animals are fed a diet of rodent block, grains, fruits and vegetables to ensure that they are the highest quality available.
We are working towards our capacity of 3500 mice cages and 800 rat cages.
Due to various problems shipping across borders, we have entered into an agreement with rodent pro. This way neither company has the headache of shipping cross border

Understood, but for the last 1.5 years that you were MIA, Rodentpro REMAINED reliable. Seems we Canadians got the short end of that stick by your 'aggreement'. Also, assuming that your 'agreement' is true, who put you in charge of making that choice for the rest of us who want "quality rats"? Seems pretty presumptuous to me...
Reverend; I've found my supplier, (one who has rats ALL the time). Canadian too! Thanks.
We stopped producing rodents in April of this year after my accident. After some changes, the company is making a much bigger and more stabble return.
The agreement came about when I was speaking to Kevin recently, who had very little interest in the hassle it takes and the added shipping cost it takes to ship to Canada. I was finding the same hassles shipping to the US. For instance, Fedex charges customers $30-50 additionally to broker a shipment across the border.
Due to the added headaches that each company incurrs while dealing across each companies borders, it just became much easier to enter a symbiotic relationship that eases the cross border shipping issues that each company faces.
Understood, but firstly, it's the customer who incurs any additional shipping charges, so costs from the suppliers standpoint is moot. These charges are incurred regardless of cross-border purchases for many people. For instance, I pay an additional $80 per order to get my rats shipped from the other side of THIS country via Air Canada because I am pleased with the quality and availability of the product and the efficiency of the supplier. Secondly, I'm sure that quite a few Canadians would be more than willing to incur any additional costs to insure that their reptiles are being fed top quality items from a reliable, respected supplier.
I have been able to buy a couple hundred XL rats from Grant at PC pets and also from Jungle Babies....thanks ....send price lists for a quantity buy for the Durham Snake Group
