hey everyone, i got my first boa as a rescue. now, i know most red-tails should be approx. 4ft after one year. mine is 3'3" but i don't know if his growth may have been stunted. is there any way to tell?
3'-3.5' is about average for boas at the one year mark.

If your boa is only 3'3", it's probably a yearling. Unless it's really skinny and in bad shape, how would you know it's growth has been stunted? If it has a healthy body to it, even on the lean side (not emaciated!! just healthy lean), it's probably not stunted.

he's definately a healthy weight so i'm not too concerned. and i got a lot of info from my other post, i don't remember why i did this one tho, so i'm not too worried about him. i've had him for about two or three months now and he hasn't missed a feeding (except for an 18day stretch the little bugger) so i figure he is just happy to have an owner that gives him heat, water, and food (unlike the owner he had before).
