Something Fishy with the Chat!!

Well, I am a new Member. And I was talking to BJ and Eddie101 in chat because I noticed something, now maybe someone can explain it to me, or maybe it is a bug..

When I don't login, and I go to chat, I see the 'standard' chat screen, the black background and smileys are 'enabled'.

BUT

As soon as I Login, and go to chat, I get the mIRC version, the white background, and smileys seem to be disabled. Perfect example is like next to the top names on the user list, instead of their smiley faces, I see a @ or % or ! before thei name, and not a smiley.

Is this a bug? OR is it something fixable? I have this problem at home and on my work computer, so I think it may be abug.

Also, both the above scenarios are when I log in on JAVA. Hope you can help!

I think it's the url that the system uses, I think when logged in it's different then when not logged in.

Yeah they mentioned maybe that was it, I only think maybe it is a bug because well, I would think that the smileys and stuff should be for the registered users, wouldn't you? I mean I would rather not login when I chat because the screen is nicer when I am not logged on. I thought maybe it is something that they were either working on, or maybe didn't realize was happening... I don't know, figured maybe they would like to know and would fix it, if this wasn't their intention anyway :)
