hello

I have a list of snakes im planning on buying but i want to make sure there is a rubbermaid or any other type of tub that can house them as full grown.

1 - ball python
1 - california kingsnake
1 - jungle carpet python
1 - apricot pueblan milksnake
1 - black mexican kingsnake

The reason i ask is because i see alot of people say certain snakes need bigger space and some say they can do with less. I also dont know the sizes on rubbermaids so im kinda blind on this topic but im asking for your advice/answer!

thx, hello

If you wanted to use tubs, Sterilite makes a 28 quart (model 1856) that can easily fit the colubrids in.
Your pythons would do better in cages, either homemade or from a manufacturer. There are tubs big enough, yet I find them a bit harder to use as efficiantly as the cages at that scale of size.

Thanks!

I didnt know they made tubs that are: 42 3/4"L x 22"W x 18"H :o thats pretty big heh.

I did some searches on the retail sites such as walmart, target, lowes and none seem to have any of the big tubs listed. Do you think they would be at the store but maby they just didnt add to there website?

I prefer rubbermaids as opposed to cages when dealing with BP's I keep my largeer BP's in a rubbermaid underbed rack, #2119-87. The dimensions are 34x16x6. Works great for me, as well as most of the larger bp breeders.

Im about to buy some tubs and stack them. Im going to cut a door in the sides of them kinda like a display so that i can stack them without getting a rack system!

IMO, i would not recommend ever housing a jungle carpet python in a rubbermaid

if the space you have requires you to only use rubbermaids, them forgo getting JCP's.....get smaller snakes!

Forgot to mention that when my JCP is full grown ill have custom cages for my bigger snakes. This is just to start out on.

Yikes! That's one expensive rubbermaid. Go for one without wheels, they work just as well and are WAY cheaper!

Jungle Carpet Pythons like to climb. Make sure to give them something to climb on, like a shelf.
