the one problem with wireless is you have to subscribe to their tv service. also if you don't get the bidirectional service you still need dial up as the regular service is download only.
weather can affect it, terrain too.

yeah cable is waaaaaaay better than satelite any day in my opinion.

They say that satelite is just as fast or faster than cable but i beg to differ. i was just using satelite the other day and it took me like 2 min to wait for a web page to load, and even that long to load ssnakess on it.

Wireless is just as fast as your cable modem or DSL. It's not any slower simply because your wireless. trust me if you have the oppurtuntiy...go for it

my neighbors have some sorta high speed internet so my dad bought a wireless card.. we insert it in the computer, my dad pushes some buttons and voila we're hooked to the net.. for free at an average of 11mb/sec.. neighbors dont care :D

Well the problem with wireless is it's still very expensive, and I doubt he was talking about a wireless router Neo. The problem with wireless routers is that sometimes you get losses and with msn, it logs off all the time depending on where you are situated.
Wireless access at the moment is expensive so if you don't mind the costs, it's a good thing.
Imagine what the world will be like in 20 years, all these waves going through us all the time!!!

Here in Ontario (where matt_mcco is) wireless internet (sight to sight microwave, not to be confused with cellphones or satellite) is provided by Look Communications. You can get comparable speeds to cable and they have two options, downlink only or bidirectional. both require you subscribe to look tv.

there is also satellite internet in Canada and for that you definetly need a phone uplink.
