First aid kits?

hey i need help on homework, my instructor asked us to name as many first aid items that are in a first aid kit and i havent got a clue, yea im a mess, i dont use them, but this class is teaching us to. Anyway could someone name some?

All i know is.... Band Aid... uuuh... some alchohal... and thats all...

Latex Gloves.. you do not want to touch outer peoples bodily fluid.

Mine has an Ace Bandage for Constrictive Bandage protocol, Epinephrine for anaphylaxis, H1 and H2 blockers for venom allergy, an Venom Extractor (to calm victims :) ), Species cards, personal medical history, emergency numbers, Envenomation Protocols for virtually all native and exotic species, and hospital #'s with their current supply of AV :D

Of course my Med Kit for the snakes is much larger ;) Had to use a tackle box for that.

Ohya, pedialyte is probably a good thing to have in either kit.

Gloves, yes, but not latex. Up to 18% of the population is allergic to natural rubber latex and those gloves can trigger anaphylactic shock similar to bee sting or peanut allergies. Vinyl or nitrile are the new standard of care.

I speak from experience here, having been rescuscitated 15 times due to latex exposure triggering cardiorespiratory arrest. I've met reptiles that have latex allergies too, so it's a good idea to avoid using items made of natural rubber around herps.

Syrup of ipecac and activated charcoal are good things to have in case of accidental poisoning.
