i still dont understand why youre asking this, but do some net-surfing and find out which species you like and if you can provide them with proper conditions. decide from there. dont base your decision upon others' opinions.

Two days ago you started a thread asking some very remedial questions about owning a ball python. From that post, I would assume that you do not own one. I would start with ONE ballpython. However, do not get that snake until after you've bought a few books on BP'S and their husbandry, read them, and are sure that a BP is the snake for you.

Hahaha Jeff, that's great!!! Why would a person start with 6 snakes? lol

You need to ask more specific questions. How could some one answer the question "should I get 6 ball pythons?" That all depends on why you want them. Why would anyone want 6 of anything? Do you mean to start a breeding project or just to start a collection? I think the replies were perhaps a bit less then patient but you have to remember that some of these guys answer a lot of post and it helps if the questions are to the point. Try not to take what was said her personally. The people who replied are very knowledgeable they just sometimes forget their manors is all. They want to help you but they need to first understand what you need or want help with. I agree there are better ways to try and get you to get to the point then to jump at you like that but like I said they are a good crew try not to take them too seriously or take offence to what they were saying.
Cheers,
Trevor

OMG! Its up to you. Asking anyone else what snakes you should get would be like asking us what you want for dinner tonight.

Why decide on all 6 at once anyway? You have to be sure that you have the time and resources to care for them. I have exactly two snakes and I decided that they are enough for now. I have the money to provide what they need but not so much time.
There is alot of common sense that goes into buying any pet.

BTW, your first post was a little ummmm poorly thought out. You were just asking for it in that one.

PAIR up what you have now and then get another pair of snakes. Maybe a Rainbow, or maybe a Rosie Boa. Or perhaps a pair of colubrid snakes.

This is provided you have the APPROPRIATE cage space.

Marisa, if you're cooking, I'd like chicken marsala with a nice mixed green salad with a balsamic vinegar dressing.

LOL Mykee!

Yeah Gaboon, seriously you need to do research and open your mind to all kinds of colubrids and boids, then narrow it down to the one's that you could provide the best, accurate care for, and go from there which one's you like better as far as temperment, looks, etc. Are you looking for pairs to breed, or pets to add to a "collection"? Just think about ALL your options, there are hundreds of them.... That's my $0.02 as much as it may be worth... ;)

Just becasue you can get 6 snakes doesnt mean you have to, or should. I own my own house and have a wonderfull career. I can get almost as many snakes as I could want, but that doesn't mean I'm going to.
Cheers,
Trevor
