Vegetarian Lizards

I was just wondering, are there any other fully vegetarian pet lizards out there besides iguanas?

Many of the skinks are not completely vegetarian but will do well on a diet of mixed greens and fruits as well as some canned cat food. I have a group of Cunningham's Skinks that are thriving on this diet (eating me out of house and home). Maybe once a month I throw them a handful of crickets just to see them run. The Blue Tounge Skinks also come to mind for thriving on this diet as well as Monkey Tails.........the list of skinks goes ever on. Uromastyx as well as mentioned in the previous post. Adult bearded dragons do well on mainly vegetation as well with the occasional supplement of live insects. Many folks have successfully raised Crested Geckos on a diet of fruit and meat baby food with some vitamin and mineral supplementation. I'm sure there are others, these are the first that come to mind.

Blue tongues are omnivores, but they do take a large amount of protein/meat based products. I'd say at least 50% of their diet should be meat based. But, that doesn't have to come from live food at all if u don't want. Cooked, plain chicken turkey, monkey biscuits, low fat good quality cat or dog food, etc.

I actually just don't like crickets. I hate the way they smell lol So I don't mind mealies, etc.

Jenn, most of the disagreeable smell comes from the packing material (egg crates) that the crickets are kept in. Keep them clean and with fresh food and there is little smell to them.
