Plant and other ?s please

Ok went to the local fake plant store and bought some cool stuff palm leaves and piggy plants. Ok ? is, dreid bamboo bad for chams its brown i am sure everyone knows what bamboo is. last but not least what about green moss i bought a bag of it instead of useing dirt for the fake plant pots is green moss ok it says its from rain forest t says used for terrariums and such? thanks alot.

Dried bamboo is fine for chameleons to climb on or to use as branches. I have some sticks of it here and I've found that sometimes they don't get a good grip on it because of it's exceptionally smooth surface.

That moss is probably fine too... I'm concerned about accidental ingestion of it though. If you break it up enough, it should pass through his digestive system if he does "zap" some of it. I do not use substrates of any kind in my chameleon cages. I do use regular potting soil in the plant pots but I've covered the top of the soil with small rocks to prevent my chameleons from eating the dirt.

Wow i will use rocks also thanks alot thats what i needed to know so i dont hert the little one the bambbo is cool it has vine wraped around it so he can grip it.

Ok, instead of fake plants, what are some good real plants to add to the enclosure that aren't harmful and have plenty of climbing room?

Man I have found that Gus destroys any live plants near him. lol. He doesn't bite them at all or anything but when his little mitts grab on to the leaves his nails leave stab marks all over the plant and it soon dies.

Benjamin Ficus (tis a tree) works well for Chams, and looks great as well as being affordable.

hey i am interested in housing and loving a couple of chams, what is the best set-up, the aluminum cage setup looks great.

Mulberrry trees and grapevines provide good climbing for the herps and very nutritious calcium-rich leaves for gutloading their prey.

cham pradise(spelling) has a good web site, on toxic and non toxic plants. What i did is use a real ficus tress, that is growing really fast, and fake vines, that i got from the dollar store, works great. Get some branchs out side, clean them put them in you cage and its a perfect encloser, here take a look at mine:)
