I have found a Brazialen (sp) rainbow boa at a petshop for 99$ I am not sure how old it is because well I am not sure what size they are when they hatch. I know it is not dehydrated because it was a sleep in its waterdish (it was soo cute) I dont know if it has eaten I can find out tomarrow. I have seen online that noone is selling these for less then 125$ USD Do you think i should buy it??? Or could their be something wrong?? I could atleast free it from its petshop exsistance. What do you all think???

Sleeping in a waterdish is never a good thing. Typically snakes soak if they are kept in too arid conditions or are infested with mites. Some rainbows however will enjoy a bit of a soak, though mine never seem to. As for age, they are usually 15-20 inches long at birth (being a boa, they don't hatch). For a pet store to sell below market price strikes me as highly unusual. I would be careful. Look very closely for signs of a respiratory infection, as these snakes must be kept in a very humid environment (80%+) at all times, and babies are especially sensitive to this.

Well, I can't tell you whether or not to buy it, but I can say be very very careful. These animals do not fare well in pet shop environments (then again most do not, but brb's even less so than say a BCI or ball python). Good luck with you decision :)

I;d say the water dish soaking wouldn;t worry me much. BRB's can soak for long periods with no ill effects (VERY resistant to blister disease). if it looks healthy, and is eating good grab that little beauty up!

Like everyone else said, check for signs of Respritory infection, mites, ask if it's eating good, what it eats, make sure it reacts to you moving it and holding it, make sure its alert, also i have heard to see if it always wraps its tail around you when you hold it, that means they are strong/healthy. If all seems well.... GET IT!!!! If you decide to get it, Cool, if not, oh well, there are lots more snakes you can buy!!!!! BYE!!
