hey im wondering if any of you have tried and either failed or succeded at removing an under tank heater (with adhesive obviously) from an aquarium. i was told when i bought it that there is about a 50% chance of it working. it would be great if i could get some suggestions.
Thanks,
Clarke
there is a product you can get called Solvoplast II. Using that to loosen the adhesive as you pull it off will work like a charm...ask for it at a pharmacy...they can probably order it in for you:)

oh god....first of all....good luck!!! you could try soaking it in bleach and hot water (make sure its not plugged in lol)and taking it off with a scraper or knife....just try to peel it off slowly

i have pealed them off slowly several times and they work fine for me, but i would not suggest letting any water or liquid touch it

If you don't care about it sticking after use Goo gone you can buy it at Canadian Tire. It removes any sticky residue.

I've just peeled them off, too. The Zoomed ones come off the easiest. I have had a couple experiences with some other brand UTHs that rip and come off in pieces, leaving all sorts of residue on the bottom.
