I bought live rats yesterday (the frozen ones the store had were too big) took them home and killed them. I tried to feed one to my girl but she refused. Today I saw her moving around quite a bit so I thawed one. She refused it this morning but I left it in her cage, eventually I picked it up and warmed it on a heat pad. That did the trick and she just took it and "killed" it. I doubt she will ever catch on that they are already dead. Damn thing tries my patience sometimes but that's why I love her to death.

Some boas are shy feeders and need to have the prey left in their cage overnight. No biggie.. that just seems to be how your boa prefers it.

I'm actually convinced she does it to pi*s me off. Some days she hits the rat before it is entirely in the cage , that day she made me half shove it down her throat. I had the ear touching her jaw for 25 seconds before she finally took it. I think she ate to make me go away.
