how big should leo be before i breed him he's 7inches and about 40grams

I'm not quite sure how big he needs to be, but my suggestion would be to get a female before you try breeding. ;) Do you have an incubator you can use? Good luck when you finally do start breeding.

yea im gonna get him a girl soon and my dads gonna make one or buy one when we try to breed them

Your male is big enough and I use the minimum weight of 45 grams for females. Also you don't want to put your male in with a 100 gram female because he might get intimidated.

Go with what Ron said, a 45g minimum. My best pair right now is a 93g male and an 87g female. Just try and keep them the same size. Keep an eye on them for the first while incase one starts beating up on the other.

Yeah it is, without one you have zero chance of keeping the eggs. They need a temperature controlled environment that is just the right humidity and heat.
