I was just wondering if anybody uses cactus in thier habitats? or would it be dangerous for your leo's? What other lants would be good to use?

fake cacti look nice..but I think real ones could potentially harm the animals. I mean, what if they climb on them and get a needle stuck in them? I don't think it's a good idea.
Pothos are nice, though. Although, they may not go with the theme of your set up..if it's a desert sort of thing.
There are many cacti and other desert plants that do not have the harmful spines, though I cannot remember species names off of the top of my head.
There are a couple good terrarium plant books out there. Maybe also try the natural viv forum.
I never use anything spiny. You could use some air plants and succulents. The only prob is that many require lots of light. Sometimes the fake ones are best. Most of my vivs contain fake except those who need really high humidity.
I have had some success with the pearl plant, haworthia margaritifera. The succulents dry out rather quickly. I think that it's best to alternate plants, maybe every 6 mths or so. They seem to thrive better.
In my tarantula vivs, I have had success with the ribbon plant, dracaena sanderiana, snake plants, and ivy. They are great for terrariums and require little light. I've used pothos in my fire belly viv. The only prob with some of these is that they increase humidity. Something else to think about is if it is harmful. If crickets eat certain plants, your gecko could eat the cricket and get sick. Just do some research. Once you introduce plants, it's like another science. I love natural looking vivaria, but unfortunatly knida lazy. The above are some of the hardier plants.
Some good books are Plants for the Reptile Terrarium by Jerry Walls and Design and Maintenance of Desert Vivaria by Phillipe de Vosjoli.
Hope that I've helped.
No I didn't advise you to put real or real plants cuz real plant can contain many dangerous parasites and bacteria for your geckoes. Many cactus have repine which can bless yor geckos

If you decide to use real plants you will probly have to repot them. Make sure their isn't any addiditives in the soil. You can use most succulents they look nice and don't have any spiney things on them. Currently my mom is "growing more babies" of chicks and hens (type of succulent) for me to add into my leos cage. Along with a few other plants for my chameleon. Gotta love moms!!!
