Hi all,

I have noticed alot of people here have bred monitors, and yet except for the few friends you tell, and post fantastic pics here of, it soon fades away into history and oblivion.

One thing you can do to imortalize your great accomplishments is write down the stats = dates parents mated, dates hatched, # hatched, incubation temps, incubation substrate, measurements of hatchlings, and so on....and if you write to me, I will #1) file it in my files, and pass it onward to Dr. Georg Horn who is one of the foremost authority of Varanus reproduction biology, who compiles and writes papers on same in academic journals - or if you like, I can publish them myself, with you as senior author - in this way people can review your achievements and unfortunate failures - but ALL ARE valuable to our learning and understanding of how these animals do what they do....and for posteriority sakes, it also shows people how serious we Varanophiles are dedicated to our passions - and that zoos need to catch up to us!

If you have questions about the afore-mentioned, just let me know...

Congrats and Thanx for sharing all,
markb
