What are you looking for in a snake (ie- handleability, size, temperament, care...)? Does it have to be a python or are you open to boas as well, or even possibly colubrids?

Don't over look the Anteresia!

What about a spotted or childrens python?

Katt and Burmer are right! Antaresia all the way! They're the most amazing group in my opinion! :D

rock or reticulated, wc adults

Heh just joking

How about an angoran, their care and temperment is similar to ball pythons they just cost way more.

I'm afraid I have to jump on the Antaresia bandwagon as well. Childrens and Spotteds are incredible snakes to work with. Small size, generally good temperament, and wonderful to look at. Adult spotties can get an irridescence that you absolutely would not believe.
