Another clutch of fire skinks just hatched! Let's see, wildfires in Kelowna=fire skinks hatch. Wildfires in Cali=fire skinks hatch.
I think I'll start referring to each clutch by the locale of the fire that's burning when they hatch! The Kelowna clutch are looking really well. The runt of the litter is struggling but might pull it off.
The new California clutch are very energetic. I tried to clear a piece of vermic away from the face of one that had only pipped, and it exploded out of the shell! Only four in this clutch but the eggs were large when laid. I just retrieved another freshly deposited clutch two nights ago, so the ball is certainly rolling with this little project.
