White-lips are not generally known for being the most tractable snakes. But if you work with one enough you may learn what to expect from it and who knows you may have one of the few friendly white-lips. Best of luck..

White lips are BEAUTIFUL snakes, but, are generally good showcase snakes, and that is all. Most have a bad attitude and like to bite. There is the odd one where you find you'll be able to handle it, but, in general, they tend to be quite defensive. They require high humidity, so, they require daily misting or other means to keep humidity up. They're a great snake to have if you have a faily intermediate amount of experience with snakes in my opinion, definitely not one I'd start out with.
I've had some experience with white lips, and they can be quite tractable, with lots and lots of handling. Otherwise, don't expect a friendly animal. They are extremely quick to bite, as in their strike is FAST!!!
They are not pet snakes.

Definitely for the experienced herp keeper. Like Katt said, their speed will dazzle you - one minute you're fine, next minute you're bleeding and in pain. Some will calm down with handling, but this species does seem to have a high propensity toward aggression.
