Ornate Uro Male

I had the camera out and figured I'd try to snap a shot of one of the Orantes......He's actually more blue than green. They seem to be one of those things that are difficult to capture they're true colours on camera.

Kind of a crappy pic and he's a little dirty, but that's what happens when you're a burrowing creature ;)

Now that is one Gorgeous Uro....I have never seen the diffrent types actually. just the mali, and fell in love with it when I saw its face(looks like a smile)

Thats an awsome specie! How big do they get? The size of mali's?

They are tiny. One of the smallest Uro species. I don't expect them to get over a foot, though it is said that some may attain lengths up to 15 inches. The male pictured is probably 10 inches or so.
I'm really glad I had the opportunity to get some, and hopefully, all going well, that opportunity will be available to more people in Cananda in the future :D
