Prices change all the time.
Just wait, till middle of winter, then they will be around 100$ since producers don't have many babies left to sale.

id say 70 is average for stores...breeders are different, like at shows and things like that
Yeah dont buy froma petstore. A normal from a breeder in probably better condition is like $30.

That's not a bad price for a petstore... but you should avoid buying from a petstore whenever possible. If you're looking for a leo in Victoria, we can point you in the right direction ;)
Incidentally, I would never buy an animal from the petstore that I think you're talking about... a lot of their stuff is WC, and even if those leos aren't, I can almost guarantee you that the employees aren't using quarantine procedures or anything...

Just for the record I bought both my Leos from a local breeder at a reptile show in Early october... Both Het for Blizzard and paid about $30 each ;)

yea, there were leo's at a pet store here for 129.99 a few months back!!that was friggen crazy!!i could buy just one from a breeder have it shipped by air-canada,and still pay less then that!
Retail is at least double market price. Normal leos are usually around $30 if you buy them from a breeder and are typically much better condition than store stock.
Also, I starred out the name of the store due to the possibly implications from below.

Leos produce year round. There are always an abundance of leos. I wouldn't expect the price to change according to season. Wholesalers always have their breeders (or themselves) supplying them with babies.
