I think a few people on this site have posted some of their plans for vinegar/baking soda or dry ice gas chambers. Do a search.

If you don't like the designs then modify them. The operatiing principle is simple enough. And Daver wasn't being a prick about it just pointing out that there is info in the topic listings.

Ok I did a search and I went to the praxair site... it is a maze does anyone have any idea what it costs for the dry ice? and if I were to buy a canaster would that be cheaper in the long run I can not make the chambers myself because I am doing Rabbits and are alot bigger then rats (in the other post it said under 2 pounds) any help would be appricated, And BTW jay nice to see someone on here actually admitting they were wrong ,we are all from time to time lol
Thank you in advance
Kim

Canisters are worth it if you will be euthanizing a lot of animals. Rabbits would use much more than rats as well. When I looked in to it, the canister and attachments ran about $250 I think it was.

Depends on the canister size sun, around me I can get a cylinder of Co2 for 70 dollars deposit on the cylinder and refill cost. Depending on how elaborate you need to get with the cylinder the hardware can be between 50-100 dollars. Since your in the US I am using US dollars. Call your local gas supply company for the cylinder. Search the web for regulators, they will be the best deal.

well I used the plans for a chamber from this site....

http://personal.riverusers.com/~busybee/euthanasia.htm

i modified it ever so slightly, used a bigger cup in which to hold the vinegar/baking soda mix...... and it works like a charm, and it's cheap to make.

Ah, thought you lived in AZ. Prices are going to be a bit higher in canada but if you kill alot of feeders in the end its worth it. You may only need a small cylinder, I don't know exactly how many psi the large ones hold but its a lot. It is much cheaper then buying dry ice wich can cost 5-10 usd for a 5lb block.

when i get dry ice from praxair I brought a cooler that is about the size of a 24 pack of canned beer. $2 filled this cooler with ease. i had way too much dry ice, as 5 or 6 cubes in warm water will do in about a dozen rats with ease.
