egg bound

does anyone have home remedies for egg binding? If it is not a true case of binding to something in the system, but just refusal to lay eggs. I have heard that it may be due to calcium being low in the diet, and may be corrected by increasing the calcium intake.
Anyone else got ideas / or ways to prevent it?
