I am having the worst time researching here lol
I have the locality and origin of my Spotted Python (Australia, Coastal North Queensland) but I'm still struggling to find my Mexican Black Kingsnake's origin and locality.
Any help?

what you are actually finding is the animal's range or distribution. locality and origin information is generally applied to sub-species and locale specific varieties. Example, there are greybanded kingsnakes, Lampropeltis alterna distributed in western Texas to Northern Eastern Mexico and possibly southern New Mexico. A Highway 277 greyband has been collected on Hwy 277, a Loma Alta greyband was collected in Loma Alta, same thing for a Davis Mtn or other locale. Asking what locale an animal is from is only as good as the lineage records that can be verified unbroken from time of collection.
Agreed.
With Mexican Blacks there are no localities that I know of. This would be extremely hard as all Mexican Blacks are normally full black. With localities you can see the way the area has a specific pattern for the snake, with Mexican Blacks this is not really the case.
Range would be what you found like reverend said. :D
