These Cuban tree frogs get very big for as tree frogs go. Here's a medium sized (3.5") one. A nuisance here in FL.

Nice! Love the tree frogs! Besides being a non-native species, how are they a nuisance exactly? I'd think the more bug eaters the better.

Well that's not necessarily a good thing when you consider they muscle out the natives AND eat them. The Cubans also have a pretty noxious skin secretion to boot. I'd rather have the green (and other)tree frogs munching on the bugs. I'll have to post a pic of another alien, the marine toad. Huge toads that eat anything. They'll even eat your dog's food if you let 'em. Both animals cause problems to pets that try and eat them.

Well that was two things I didn't know about Cubans. Being frog eaters and their toxicity. The average joe probably just gets annoyed with their poo on the screen door... Good stuff Mark.

I didn't know they ate the greens either, 'till I saw one with a gtf in his mouth! I really love the little green tree frogs. That color is great. Another thing about the Cubans is their ability to change color/intensity.

I have a Green male, his silver/white stripe is awesome, it almost seems to glow. I also keep Greys, these also change color/intensity. They can go from grey to greenish ground color in less than a few hours depending on light type and intensity changes.
