Jay, those voids still have fully functioning fangs, so most who keep voids treat them with more respect then one would a corn snake or a boa. I am sure there are bites, but they are infrequent. I personally do not know anyone who has been tagged by one, but I am guessing Ray Hunters probably has. Ha ha

I have seen a bite on the forearm from someone freehandling a venomoid 3 foot neotropical rattler. DEEP punctures and alot of bleeding and pain. Pics of 2 holes is not very interesting. Pop a staple into your arm and that is what it looks like.

I really hate venomoids.. Can't understand why people torture such a great animal.

well,
I understand that people choose for it,even do I would never want it.Like you say,no animal needs to suffer for nothing.
But what I don't understand is how can you believe someone when you buy a venomoid? Are you able to see it that well?I think everybody could sell a venomous snake with a note by it that it's a venomoid? :s

mmm most venomoids have large scars on the side of the head. Also if I am not mistaking the shape of the head is also different.

a venomous snake that is venomoid,is a venomous snake where the venom is neutralised.Sometimes this is done on a very unacceptable way :(

Not to many like or are willing to talk about their bites from venomous. My favorite saying is "" It is not a badge of honor to brag about , But a badge of stupidity or neglegance""

I'd like to keep a venomous snake, and since I just learned what a venomoid is, I think that's cruel.

Hehe I'd like a pygmy rattler, but honestly, I don't think I have the perverbial balls to handle a vemonous...

Oh well, dare to dream.

And
Pics of 2 holes is not very interesting isn't there swelling and such too? lol And I think the bites would look VERY interesting :)

Ok I'll get out of the venomous forum now lol

that's true but as Scot was saying that you have some keepers that are bitten and some that will get bitten.. I also think that there are keepers that will never get bitten by their hots. And I want to be one of them :)

true skin78,
Personally I believe that it's 100% possible to keep a hot without ever being in it's striking range...If you start to grab or chalange a snake like a cobra, than you're searching to get bitten.
This is just my opinion..
