Melanistic garter??
Kinda looks like a racer?
I'd have to agree with Kyle. Melanistic Garter Snake.

Scales don't look very garterish to me. Hmmm... but what else could it be?
I was gonna say garter too... don't know what a malanistic garter is though... we have those on the Montour Trail by my house.

Doesn't quite look like a melanistic garter to me . I'm going with eastern hognose.
looks like a black racer but i dont know if there range is that far north.

ummm I would have said it looks similar to a water snake, the face and all, and the striking reminds me of the water snakes down here. I know hognose snakes would rather play dead than bite, and they dont really strike with their mouth's open so it cant be one of those. But it sure does resemble a melantistic garter or ribbon snake of some sort or maybe a racer. Let us know Jordan!!

I will go with a blue racer in a dark phase.

I think it's much too thick to be a ribbon. The face is way different than a garter's, too. I'm gonna say Black eastern hognose, just because it's so similar to the pic by mk-ultra. -TR
Well if it's not a melanistic garter or a hoggie, then a black pine. They've got white chins.

Odd,
I hesitate on 2,
northern water snake
and a racer.
but the northerns, have some patterns on them and this one doesn't or it doesn't show in the pics.

Lol, thats crazy. But yea, I see now that it's a garter's head, just flattened out. He must have been rather p***ed at you. ;) Nice find.
