I have two young cresties, they hatched in april and one was a little slow on the get go. It didn't eat much but I did feed it by putting baby food on its nose, it didn't shed very well either I had to soak it. It was much smaller than the other one in a short time, but then it caught up and they where the same size basically.
However now all may not be so well, it is about half the size of the other one. She is even a bit skinny, just a bit but I'm starting to worry. It shed about a week and a half ago.
The other is growing like crazy, about the size of an adult, but not quite.
There is no difference between sexes as far as rate of growth is there?
I tried to take a picture to show the size diference but the camera won't work for some reason.
Any ideas? I'll go and get some of that CG food I read about on some other threads, that may round it out, I've never heard of it before. The store in town probably has some. Hmmm, no crickets, I can live with that. I guese they don't have tarantula food out eh? lol

Thanks a lot, Josh

Are they housed together? What are the temps/humidity? What does their enclosure look like? These answer may help the question?
Thanks

The enclosure is a 33l aquarium with branches fro them to climb on. There are three in there, the older one is a female and I'm not sure what the two young ones are yet. The temp is 21 - 22 C. I'll go and grab a hydrometer today, so I don't know what the humidity is.

i would separate them. that can stress them out, and the big one can torment and even eat the small one. then try pinhead crix with the non eater.

Seperate them into their own enclosures. You might also want to raise the temps to 24-26 C. Make sure that your cage furniture doesnt give to many place for crix to hide, then just add pinheads.
Good Luck...Keep us updated.

Pinheads??? Go with proper sized crix, they can handle large easily at that age. I agree with everyone on giving the crested some personal space. If there is a dominance issue then there should be a big change in it's behavior within a few days of moving into a solitary enclosure. Good luck.:)
