I was wondering why people advise against feeding burms huge meals. I have read that you shouldn't be able to see the lumps in the belly of the snake. I don't understand this, in the wild snakes eat massive meals, and then they don't eat for..... well who knows how long. Why bother feeding five rats when you can feed one big bunny and then not feed for a few weeks or a month?

I do not own a burm yet, it will be a year or two, I'm just curious and doing my research for the future.

Thanks!

Where did you hear this? Burms are made to take large meals. Someone misinformed you, I believe.

Burms are meant to take huge meals. I've never had a problem giving larger food items to any of mine.

That's the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard. They eat freakin' wilderbeasts in the wild when they hit adulthood.

I've heard that argument for some colubrids but not burms, they are gluttins!!

feeding burms a big meal then waiting a two weeks or so is fine, what is a bad idea though is to feed your snake a rediculasly HUGE amount then not feed for months, that can be bad because it is just a constant overload on the digestive system, but it would take ALOT of feeding,
