Does anyone here know a site where it has a large list of snake spicies and that has information about each and everyone.

i bookmarked a page i found a month ago but recently formated. It was a really interesting site, it had over 300 different snake listings and each one had their own care sheet.

I just like to read about subspecies and stuff its interesting.

any help would be appreciated thx.

Go under the search type in any snake you want and most of the time they have other snake info to.

Wouldn't it be nice if ssnakes.com got together with all the experts we have on hand and hosted/created a **** load of care sheets. It might also be a good place to have selective advertising. just a though

to be honest ssnakess care sheets are too small, theres gotta be more for most snakes.

Even on the banner says #1 place for reptile information... i dont think so... i'm not bashing this site, i love it, its just that its false advertisement.

Yeah, but those sites with 100's of care sheets often become outdated and useless for anyone past 2 years of herp experience. This site is ALWAYS current as the breeders THEMSELVES give advice and opinions. I'd much rather have one sentence from a breeder with 15 years experience than 200 full care sheets written 10 years ago.

#1 source of QUALITY information. Not false advertising. Merely the truth.

It doesn't say #1 site for all information found in a caresheet... our main feature is our forums. You can get more information on the forums than you will find in any caresheet or book. No false advertising here! :D

Caresheets are caresheets. They are basic outlines on keeping or breeding. Nothing more nothing less. They are not intended to be detailed guides. Books and learning from others are where the more detailed information awaits.

Why not make one then. The research alone will teach you oodles of stuff.

I agree I think this site should have more caresheets, the mods should start accepting sheets from member. Members could write them send them in and then get them posted for other that would be way easier then someone typing in "how to care for my new BP" every time they get a new herp.

hehe ya just like those. I keep forgetting there is a front page to this board. it was 3 weeks before i even knew there was one. I came here via direct link to a forum thx to Jeff Favelle.

but back to the topic just like tose but more and maybe a consistant format. just basic husbandry issues. Not too much detail. For the nitty gritty they can consult the boards vast amount of experts.

general species description:
temperment:
enclosure size/type:
temp requirements:
humidity requirements:
feeding guide:
common problems/solutions:

may also want to include breeding but that requires more detail and should probably be left for a person to research on thier own. If they cant be bothered to research it on thier own then they probably shouldnt be doing it.

I think it would be awesome if ssnakess went ahead and did something like that -- there's a few caresheets in the caresheet section now, but not very many. Nothing beats talking to the breeders themselves, who have first hand experience... but good caresheets are definitely a valuable resource as well :)

One site that used to kick *** was caresheets.com ... it was run by the Reptile Rescue people, there was a tonne and a half of caresheets on there, I used to visit the site all the time... it's gone now though :(

the good thing about having a shiit load of care sheets is when my ISP fails on me and i can't get online, this month has been really bad, i've been disconnected a few times this week and when it happens i like going offline and reading through old care sheets i've read. Or ones i clicked on but didn't read.
