nice animal , nice to see eyecaps on the shed not the snake. Hate having to deal with a animal who likes to fire fangs through their lower jaw when your trying to remove an eyecap. Is that substrate used damn durring shed cycles or is it the normal substrate you use?

Never thought of that before, how would you go about removing a eye cap? Does it vary from species to species? (Just my curiosity)
Thanks

Steve . Only way i know is to restrain the snake behind the head and to remove the eyecap wth a pair of tweezers very gently. With a animal like a gaboon or big eastern diamond back this is very dangerous as they can and will on occasion stick their fangs through their lower jaws skin and if your hand placement is not perfect you will get envenomated.
