I got a pueblan Milk Yesterday and it is my first snake though I have been keeping frog and lizards for quite some time.

He is like 1 - 1.5 years old and 21" approx. (the age is kinda a guess). He is about as big around as my middle finger at the widest point.

Is this a mormal size for a pueblan this age ?

and

what size mice should he be eating if I wanna feed him every 5 - 7 days.

all I have right now is frozen pinkie and fuzzie mice. but I can get bigger if need be just wondering if I should maybe try rat pups ?

Frogman and hopefully pics later today as soon as I get digi batteries.

Not 100% familiar with Pueblans, but the age guess seems close(I think they max out around 3.5 feet or so right...?). I would guess that he could be eating hoppers by now but if you want to use up the mice you have right now, might as well use them.

He could eat small adults or big hoppers for sure... but I guess it really depends on how big your middle finger is! :D

Standard rule of thumb for feeding most all snakes. Look at the thickest part of its body. 1 or 2 prey items of the same girth weekly (or 5-7 days for neonates) for young snakes. Same for older snakes maybe every 7-10 days. Your snake can easily take a prey item upto 1.5 times its girth, but it is easier for your snake to eat/digest the smaller prey items. It has been my experience with alot of Milks that they will not eat the larger prey. Even though some are the same girth as an adult mouse say, the biggest prey they may want to take may only be hopper size. I find this with my Mexicans & the pueblans I used to have. My Mtn Kings are the same way they should take large hoppers or even small adults, but they mostly eat large fuzzies & small hoppers. If you find that it is not taking the larger prey for you scale it down a size & try again. Good Luck Mark I.

1-1.5 ft pueblan will do fine on 1- 2 week old rat pups. Frogman, you are welcome to come check out my pueblans in Fredricton if you wish. I can show you the basics and my setups if you are interested.
