Hi, I'm looking to start breeding corns.. i was wondering what the minimum size setup i can use for adults... i was told it was 20 gallon tanks..... can i keep 5 snakes in 5 20 gallon tanks.... or is there a cheaper way of housing corns??
thanks..

20 gallon longs for flor space. rubbermaids can be cheaper

Also, ask yourself first, what is the maximum that you are able to give your corn, THEN ask what the minimum is.

Our adult corns have 36" by 18" floor space - a 40 gallon wide aquarium tank or equivalent sized rubbermaid tub (we originally used tanks for all but are moving to rack systems to be more cost effective).
I do think it is important to give them plenty of room to cruise around - and ours do use the space - want to keep them fairly fit with good muscle condition to reduce chances of egg binding.

We typically feed after they have been out and looking around looking for prey for a couple nights in a row - helps them stay a bit more active.
