Beardie Rack

Hey, i was planning on making a beardie rack system and was wondering what the best way to heat it was, spot lamps are a definate but would it be easier to try and match the wattage or put a heater with a reho stat on the back of the tanks and use same wattage bulbs but use the heaters to regulate heat accuratly, the room changes temp throughtout the year so trying to match bulbs with room temp would be very hard, but how effective are UTH attached to the back of the tank on the hot side + a spot light bulb, and would the UTH need to be covered so that the beardies couldnt touch it or would it be fine exposed at 105degrees with no way of them getting in contact with it unless they try to climb the wall?
