Ok we got whats going to go on the wood....what do you guys suggest we put on the inside on the joints, what kind of caulking....would liquid nails work? It says that it will work on wood, and that it is waterproof...so what do you think?

Silicone is by far the best. If it's good enough to seal aquariums, it's good enough for herp terrariums.
Yup. I agree with Invictus. Silicone is the way to go. Make sure that it is aquarium safe though. Many of the 100% silicone sealants out there are not suitable and will offgas ammonia (which affects the PH in tanks which is why you look for aquarium safe on the label).

elastomeric caulk is great too. moves and stretches like silicone but its a latex caulk so its paintable. you have to find the right stuff though like linds said it may off gas quite a bit. Dynaflex by Dap you can smell the ammonia as soon as you nip the tip.
