This guy was in bad shape a year ago with some sort of belly scale problem. He's doing much better now and is the father of a clutch of 10 this year. Those pin stripes are almost day-glo orange in person. None of his offspring looked like that this time. Oh well...

Kay fine! I'm stumped! Is that a thayeri or a greyband?!

Nice job on helping him out btw. :)

Yup. (I didn't originate the cross however) Some are milksnake looking too. And some are pink and red banded. I was hoping for the ones like him above. I have a female like him, but she's just a yearling.

I'm just a purist and a Thayeri freak. Nice snake though. Good to see he's turned around and bred.

Trust me, I have pure thayeri and pure alterna. I would never cross the two. Some of my thayeri this year are staying with me. I'll post some pics of those too. I really liked the looks of this guy when I saw him at a friend's house. The orange is unreal, especially on the neos. I would not represent them as anything except what they are. Alterna X thayeri. Of course these are at least 4th generation animals.

I trust and believe Mark. :) Can't wait for the pics. Where did you get your Thayeri stock from?

Aah, see I thought he looked like a THayeri phase. Close one eh. Good things he's in your hands Mark. Double phew!

Some of my Thayeri are from Gary Sipperly at San Diego Reptile Breeders, some from friends Tim Thomas and Lee Abbott.
