Okay, I have a new rubbermaid home for one of my geckos, and by now I didn't have any mesh for the top for air circulation, so I put a piece of pegboard with small holes over the top, and overnight my gecko somehow dissappeared! It must have pushed itself up from under. I guess my biggest question is... how long can an adult crestie survive on its own without food or water?

I have no idea but i say you have a good couple of days to search. Look in every little space. Watch where you sit, he/she could of went between a mattress or a cusion. The best i can give you is look high and low. Good Luck and keep us updated!!!!

Would setting up a little spot in the room with baby food help attract it?

See the post below "missing crestie" for more ideas. I had one vanish for two weeks and he's alright.

Yay!! I thought I was doomed to ever find him again, seeing as I live in a 150 year old house, which... isn't exactly perfect in every way. I believed he escaped his enclosure and found his way through a hole in the wall and got lost inside the wall or inside the floor. Either way, I didn't think I'd ever find him again. However, every day, everytime I'm in that room, I'd check that spot, and sure enough this morning... I check it as an automatic thing to do, and he's there! It seemed so unbelievable that he was just THERE when I looked! Well I'm happy and have definitely learned my lesson. No pegboard for them!
