I was wondering if anyone could give me the URL of a website where I could learn the terms and some basic info on genetics.
God, I wish that I'd paid attention in biology class :(
(oooo, this thread makes my signature kinda embarrassing)

Mostly deals with corn snake genetics, but corns are a great intro into mutation (morph) genetics, if that's what you're interested in. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

The Serpwidgets site is fantastic.
There's also Gecko Genetics (http://www.compusmart.ab.ca/kbush/geckogenetics.htm)
If you want to see what to expect as far as offspring go, there's the GENETICS WIZARD (http://www.geneticswizard.com/) to play around with (there is a basic glossary as well).
Might as well mention Mick's Cornsnake Progeny Predictor (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/spencer62/cornprog.html) . Download it free if you want to practise offline :)

I tried that progeny predictor and it wouldn't work on my puter :( I'm not sure why but it seems like a file is missing or something. Maybe it just won't run in XP .

If it's saying you need VBRUN.DLL, go to the bottom of this page:
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/spencer62/cornprog.html and read the stuff at the bottom and click on the link so you can download it. The program was written in visual basic, so you need this file to run it. HTH
