Heres a pic of my newest addition! this is a pic i pulled off of the net... I have no batteries in my camera, i will get pics of mine ASAP. this one is a florida worm lizard.... i have a south american, which look the same.

is it a cecilian or an amphiuma? yes, i agree it does look like 'it' my brother made the same coment when he saw a pic of it in a book
Belongs to the Amphisbaenid family. That is North America's only species.
Which species issit? Cool find dood! :)

Species is Rhineura floridana. Yes, an air breather. No external eye or ear openings. Lays 1-3 eggs in summer, hatch in early fall. A burrower. Lives underground searching for earthworms and termites. Mockingbirds ocasionally unearth a worm lizard while searching for earthworms. *Taken from The Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Reptiles and Amphibians*

i got it at a pet store down town toronto called menagerie. The one i have apearently is the south american one... it looks fatter than the northamerican one... i just posted the florida one so you had some idea what i got... it looks almost the same as it. Here are a couple pics of mine.

Theres another called the "ajolote" found in texas. but it has two front arms and no back legs! Thats what i want next!

it eats 1/4 crickets and butter worms. i dont know if they sell them online:confused: that would be interesting to find out
