A smaller sized enclosure would make baby milks feel more secure.

Starting him in a shoe box sized container would be very benificial for the pueblan. He will feel more secure and will aclimatize alot faster. How do you intend to heat the container?

I hope you have a rheostat for that heat pad, or you will have crispy fried Pueblan.

I started my hatchling pueblans in the 3 gal rubbermaids and that will actually work for quite a while since Pueblans don't get that big. Of course once they are well established and growing nicely bigger is always better just make sure there are lots of hides.

A 5 or 10 g will also suffice nicely for a baby pueblan. My very first pueblan was housed in a 35 g from baby to adult. There were no problems but some may say that that was lucky. Feel free to try different things. That is how most of us come up with our answers to questions like these. As long as you know and utilize the basic needs of the animal, the rest is experimentation to tweek the best living conditions for your pueblan or any animal.

Good luck

I love pueblans.
