Very nice, how many venomous snakes do you keep? Do you require a special permit? Also, have you ever been tagged? (These are just questions out of curiosity :) )
Thanks

not that familiar with them but I think it looks more like Trimeresurus kanburiensis than Trimeresurus monticola or Ovophis monticola. No antivenin for these is there? Definitely a beautiful animal, I need to get out of the low desert so I can keep some of these cooler more humid species.

Regarding the orange dorsal coloration I would think them to be Protobothrops jerdoni xanthomelas and I am sure that it is at least a Protobothrops jerdoni ssp.
But being not so familiar with the english names for the first second after reading I thought of Ermia mangshanensis which is one of my absolute favorites. But in english it is called Iron headed Pit Viper or so I think...
Nevertheless a very beautiful species and a nice picture.

Maik, You win the booby prize!!! You are absolutely correct, the actual scientific name is Protobothrops jerdoni, but many still go by the old classification of Trimerusurus.
