Normally monitors don’t behave like this; here the male lets the female feed first, other times it’s the opposite got to love these guys.

So they take turns letting the other one eat first? That's a very polite class A predator. No sir after you, no I insist after you. That is really funny. I can't imagine my albigularis waiting to eat for any reason.

Thats a great pic Steve....Ive seen albiugularis eat communally before, as long as there is plenty they are relaxed....but I always enjoy their shoveling technique..."Look Ma! No hands!!"

Belzebut (my avatar) is the father of this pair, these are only 1 year old.
thats what I hate about Merauke they all look alike!
Look on the bright side...Even though all Merauke look alike, at least they are a good looking monitors!

Yeah, Steve, if you "hate" the Merauke's because they all look alike, I can do you a favor and take some of them off of your hands for you.
That way you will have less of them that all look alike, and I will have more :)

I just wanted to say, I realy like polymorphism in reptiles!
