Thanks!!! I think there are 20 babies, but I can count an accurate number because they pile on top of eachother. :)

wow!! that looks amazing...do they always stay on the back? how long till they get off?

I believe they stay on until a little while after their first molt. And yeah they have to stay on the mothers back to survive, shes feeds, and protects them.
