I also keep a few easterns, I haven't really gotten the chance to kick the garter thing going yet. I plan on getting, Plains Morphs and Eastern Morphs.
I have never really seen Annectans on any classifieds and I can only wonder why? They are such a beautiful snake.

Great pics!
Garters are so uncommon as far as pet snakes go.

Garters aree very common as far as pet snakes go. Very Common. Usually that is the snake that most people recommend as a beginner pet snake other than a ball python.
People are more into breeding them for colortation than really into them as pets. But many many people enjoy them just for a pet. Garters can be as tame as a ball python too.

Excellent head shot!
Well up here in Canada, where at least two provinces prohibit you from owning them. They are not common as pets. Considering there's only one person I can think of who captive breeds them.

Wow! and Canada has some beautiful Garter snakes! Canadian Plains are beautiful, I wish I could get my hands on a few. Here in the US Garters are like a collection of baseball/football cards just like the corn snakes, always something new and someone always looking to spend a little extra to get that new morh or garter snake. People invest alot in them and they are a very good investment as long as you stay with the new strands and the high end types. People love them here :)
What other snakes are prohibited in Canada?
