Are they easy to breed?? And how ,many eggs they produce, 1-2?
~Greg~
They are fairly easy to breed. I find that you need the temps and humidity just right for them, they are a little picky. The important thing is to BE SURE the female is fat enough, otherwise there could be some trouble. They lay 2 eggs.

theres a tip...NEVER handle an adult Tockay! :D...If you feel that all of your fingers should be in their place :D
~Greg~
Yeah I learned that the hard way, I had the back of my hand shredded my by 13 inch adult male.

I handle my tokays all the time I have never been itten but came seriosly close a couple of times. I got mine at the last port credit show and one of them seems to be tame. although she has been messed up a bit(scars, lost tail, etc) she is my absolute favorite. The trick to grabbing them is to put something over their heads so they don't see you then grabbing them by the shoulder-neck area so they can't turn around and bite. Just be sure not to walk into anyone!

There is a difference in handling and grabbing.
I don't think that someone can handle tockays.
If i want to grab mine i know how to do it but i cannot handle her like i am doing with my snakes.
If yours is tame maybe that animal is sick or very old. Tockays are one of those lizards (geckos) that cannot be handled.
