big snake?

hey..... ive been focusing on big boas.... now i want to get into big pythons... i do hav experiance with big snakes.... but im havin real big trouble choosing a snake. I either want a burm... a retic or a african rock.... im leaning towards a rock...... i do hav the room.... wut do u guys think would be more rewarding of an experiance?

I'd say a burm, because their temperment is FAR better than that of an afrock. Retics can be mean tempered too, but, I've seen my share of mellow ones too. Afrocks, well, I won't even go there, I only recommend it if you're really experienced with mean tempered snakes on the larger scale, because this particular species' picture is beside the definition of mean in the dictionary. They all can be fairly rewarding snakes....afrocks more so to gain a ton of experience with a difficult species, and burms for their remarkable temperments and sizes that they can attain. I'm partial to burms just due to the wonderful experiences I have had with them. :)

I agree with RedDragon, definitely a burm. Retics look great but with rare exceptions all you can do is look at them, safely anyway. And the rocks, for the most part, are even worse

before buying a burm check any rescues in your area, burms are the most common rescue there is and can be found cheap or free

i would also go for the burm, retics can be tamed pretty easy thoguh and with my excperance dont live up to there full reputation of "mean snakes" but that dosent mean there are a lot of mean ones out there. african rocks you can count on being aggresive, there is a possability that it could be tame but the odds are greatly stacked aganst that. also with african rocks they are more of a snake that you apprecate by observing not interacting. for my money i would go with the burms, also with burms you can end up getting one for free at a rescue like what reverendsterlin said, or you can choose from a pretty wide range of morphs.
